I.V.A stands for: Imagine, Visualize & Actualize! Imagine that all things are possible when you Visualize your end result. Actualize these desired results through dance, strength & core moves, and choreography set to music that lifts our spirits and soothes our soul!
I.V.A Fitness™ is suitable for all fitness levels and abilities because the moves are easy-to-follow, repetitive, fun and effective.
Class participants will: 1) work on Core through easy-to-follow Kickboxing, Capoeira and Yoga inspired movements,
2) work on non-intimidating Strength Training moves to tone the body; and
3) Dance to easy-to-follow choreography set to all genres of music.

Our goal is to change your view on fitness, so that it becomes a part of who you are and your lifestyle.
We do this by creating a judgement free class where you can be who you are....even if that means you don't get all the steps right the first time. Where you define your success and where your coaches make you feel like you belong.
I am currently the Director for a National Workforce Development Organization, Grant Associates; an organization that raises the economic security of the people, businesses and community we serve through workforce development, business insight and bold ideas. With over 20 years of experience in the non profit and education sector - empowerment of people and community is deeply rooted in my values and beliefs. I received my Bachelor's degree in Public Relations & Communications with Cum Laude Honors and later received my Master's degree in Public Administration from Marist College.
I have served as guest speaker and panel member on topics around women's empowerment, personal and professional development, empowerment and leadership and most recently presented on “Building Your Communiity". With a passion for community development and volunteerism, I have organized events from Youth Summits to conferences for Women and Girls of color, to fundraising events for organizations such as the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the American Heart Association. I have also assisted with both fundraising and event organizing for local non-profits, and have warmed-up the crowd at Color Vibe 5k and Safe Harbor’s 5k.
I am a life-long dancer, fitness enthusiast, student, Master Coach and dance fitness choreographer, and have been teaching group fitness programs for over 11 years.
Through both my professional and personal endeavors in assisting people to achieve their goals, I have developed a deep passion for women's empowerment and in community development. Deemed a people's-person, I have built a strong sense of community by having a no-judgment attitude in my classes and building a fitness platform based on respect, integrity, empowerment and the know-how that every fitness student is already a winner!
I created this program because my students were asking for more and after 6 major surgeries, I needed more from my workout.
This program is designed with the mind-set that while there are many fantastic fitness programs out there and that no two fitness programs are alike.

We hear "mind, body and spirit" all the time, but what does that actually mean?
With over 12 yeas of fitness and wellness experience, and working with women on a variety of challenges/barriers/goals, I am excited to be adding wellness and empowerment coaching to the I.V.A portfolio.
This is NOT therapy, nutrition or fitness coaching, but rather a holistic approach to realistic goal setting, understanding your barriers, defining and owning your power, and creating a wellness plan that is unique to you so that you can actualize your goals. Think of it as having a mentor, a life coach, an accountability partner or someone who does a little more than listening to your concerns.
Mind, Body and Spirit - not one principle is more important than the other and to truly feel whole, balanced and complete, this system must work together. When one principle is off, then chances are, you are off. Let's work together.
